The cast and crew of The Neighbors appeared at The Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour on January 10, 2013. For promotion, ABC treated critics to a pie break “sponsored” by The Neighbors. The AV Club's Will Harris commented, "Sadly, the pie was mediocre, but beyond that, it’s nothing short of remarkable that the series was featured at the event at all, given its initial reviews, which were awful, to put it mildly."
Toks Olagundoye, Simon Templeman, Lenny Venito, Ian Patrick, Max Charles and Isabella Cramp all appeared at the event and most tweeted.
